Søbr Market opened its fourth Greater Toronto Area location at The Well on Dec. 31, 2025, positioning itself as a retail destination for non-alcoholic spirits, de-alcoholized wines, mocktails and ready-to-drink cans.
The shop combines a curated product selection with in-store tasting, making it simple to find social alternatives to alcohol that recreate classic cocktails and wine flavours without the hangover.
What the store carries
Søbr Market stocks alcohol-free spirits meant for cocktails and shots, de-alcoholized wines that retain aroma and tasting notes, bottled and canned mocktails, and aperitifs aimed at pre-dinner drinks. Brands include Free Spirits, NOA, Moderato, Ghia, EDNA and local Toronto options like EDNA’s canned traditional cocktails.
This is the holy grail for the non-alcoholic curious.

How customers use it
Many shoppers discover Søbr Market during Dry January or after holiday excess, but store staff report that a surprising number continue buying non-alcoholic options into the year and summer. Tasting samples are offered so people can try substitutes that feel like part of the gathering without resorting to plain sparkling water.
Alcohol plays a huge part in social gatherings, and it’s natural for people to feel left behind if they don’t have a nice glass with a nice drink in hand.
Livia Rodrigues, store manager
Rodrigues says many customers intend to cut back for a month and end up making longer term changes. "We expect people after January to go like, 'Okay, back to my old habits,' but people actually stick to it," she says.
Tasting notes: three highlights
Torontoer visited Søbr Market at The Well and sampled several of the shop’s bestsellers. Below are concise impressions and price points to help you choose.
Free Spirits Tequila
The Free Spirits tequila alternative registers for many like a smoky, mezcal-adjacent spirit. On nose and palate it gives a throat burn and smokiness similar to agave spirits, making it usable for mocktail versions of margaritas or taken as a shot. A 750 mL bottle retails for about $55.
NOA Coffee Liqueur
NOA’s coffee liqueur is designed for non-alcoholic espresso martinis. The version sampled had a vanilla-sweet profile that tempered bitterness and made it approachable for those who do not normally favour coffee-forward drinks. Expect a 700 mL bottle near $33.
Moderato: Revolutionary Cuvée, Merlot & Gros Manseng
The dealcoholized rosé preserved typical rosé aromas and avoided the acidic edge that can make some alcohol-free wines feel thin. The dealcoholization process leaves trace alcohol, commonly 0.3 to 0.5 per cent, which the store says does not compromise sobriety for most buyers. This French 750 mL bottle is listed at about $27.50.
- Other popular bottles: Woody’s collection wines
- Aperitifs: Ghia non-alcoholic aperitif
- Canned options: EDNA’s traditional cocktails, from about $4.75 per can
Sampling remains the easiest way to find a replacement you like. Rodrigues often suggests starting with a shot of a spirit alternative to see how the texture and throat feel compare to alcohol, and many customers are surprised by the complexity and variety on offer.
Who this is for
