Cineplex is reviving its $5 Tuesdays promotion nationwide. From January 20 to February 24, 2026, general admission tickets and small bags of popcorn will be available for $5 each, plus tax, at participating Cineplex theatres across Canada.
The offer is limited to Tuesday showtimes and to in-theatre concession purchases for the popcorn discount. You must buy a general admission ticket for a Tuesday screening to get the $5 ticket price, and you must order a small popcorn at concessions on a Tuesday to get the discounted popcorn price.
How the pricing works
Tickets can be purchased at the box office or online, but online purchases may include a booking fee unless you are a CineClub member. Cineplex lists the online prices for $5 Tuesdays as: $5 plus tax for CineClub members, $6 plus tax for Scene+ members, and $6.50 plus tax for everyone else. The higher amounts reflect the $1 and $1.50 online booking fees added to the $5 base price.
The online booking fee allows for advanced seat selection and shareable digital tickets. It only applies to the first four tickets purchased in a transaction.

The booking fee applies only to the first four tickets in a single transaction. If you buy more than four tickets online in one order, additional tickets will not have the online booking fee applied, according to Cineplex.
Premium screens and popcorn exclusions
The $5 ticket price covers standard general admission only. Premium formats such as IMAX, 3D, UltraAVX, D-BOX, 4DX, ScreenX and VIP are available at the $5 base rate only after the applicable surcharge for those formats is added. Popcorn toppings and upgrades are extra.
The discounted popcorn price is not valid for Poptopia-branded popcorn, concession combos, delivery, or purchases made through Cineplex mobile ordering. The promotion applies to small popcorns purchased at concession counters on the designated Tuesdays.

- Buy tickets at the theatre box office to avoid the online booking fee.
- Join CineClub if you plan to use the deal often, since online bookings are $5 for members.
- If you use Scene+, expect a $1 online booking fee on top of the $5 price for online purchases.
