A Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw ticket sold in Vancouver matched the winning numbers in Saturday's draw, netting the holder a $1-million prize. The Gold Ball jackpot of $18 million was not won.
The weekend's national lottery schedule also produced multiple smaller prizes across Lotto Max and Classic Draw Extra, while several big jackpots remain unclaimed heading into this week's draws.

Weekend draw results

Saturday's Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw produced one $1-million winner after a white ball was drawn. The winning ticket identification was 16569634-01.
  • Classic Draw winning numbers: 09, 13, 15, 28, 41, 49; bonus 43.
  • Classic Draw Extra numbers: 38, 74, 84, 91. No $500,000 top prize was won.
  • Friday's Lotto Max numbers: 03, 09, 13, 16, 18, 27, 29; bonus 2. The $10-million jackpot was not won.
In Lotto Max, no one captured the top prize or the second-tier prize. Thirty-two players across Canada matched six of seven numbers in Lotto Max, dividing the third prize to receive $4,453.20 each.

Where the winners were

The $1-million Classic Draw winner bought their ticket in Vancouver. Separately, a ticket sold in St. John’s matched five of six Classic Draw numbers plus the bonus and won $194,510.
Across the Lotto Max draw, dozens of Canadians collected smaller prizes. These tiered payouts are common when jackpots go unclaimed, as prizes roll down through the prize structure.

Steps winners should take

If you find you hold a winning ticket, follow official procedures to protect the prize and yourself. Provincial lottery corporations require validation steps and have specific claim windows.
  • Sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe place.
  • Check the ticket at an official retailer, then contact your provincial lottery corporation to confirm next steps.
  • Seek independent legal and financial advice before making major decisions, especially for seven-figure wins.
  • Be cautious about sharing personal details publicly and consider a plan for privacy and taxes. Canadian lottery winnings are prize payments and are not taxable as income, but professional advice is still recommended.

Upcoming draws and what to expect

Players still have chances this week. Tuesday's Lotto Max draw will offer an estimated $15 million, and Wednesday's Lotto 6/49 draw will feature a $20-million Gold Ball jackpot. Odds for hitting large jackpots remain long, while smaller prizes are more frequently awarded.

Responsible play and support resources

Lotteries are games of chance and involve financial risk. If gambling causes stress, financial strain, or other problems, help is available across Canada.
  • Contact your provincial problem gambling helpline for confidential support.
  • Visit the Responsible Gambling Council or your provincial lottery corporation’s responsible gambling page for information and tools.
  • Consider counselling services such as Gamblers Anonymous or local mental health resources if gambling is affecting your life.
Weekend winners joined a long list of Canadians whose lives changed after a ticket matched the right numbers, from modest prize recipients to people who used windfalls to clear debts or mortgage balances. For most players, prudent planning and professional advice matter as much as the moment of winning.
